Background

Fricks Quality Meats aimed to create a special interaction for their Ham products by

leveraging QR codes on the packaging. The goal was to connect with customers directly

from the packaging, sharing the company's family story and providing warming tips

and carving instructions for Easter.

Task

Design and develop a mobile experience that would:

  • Engage customers effectively.

  • Allow quick and intuitive navigation.

  • Provide relevant information and video content.

      to
      understand their vision and requirements.

    • Defined key goals: convey the family story, provide warming tips,
      and offer carving instructions.

  2. Prototype Development

    • Created Figma prototypes to demonstrate the layout, interactions,
      and components.

    • Developed component sections for each key aspect (family story,
      warming tips, carving instructions).

    • Designed interactions to meet Fricks' desired user experience.

  3. Content Integration

    • Worked closely with Fricks' marketing team to gather necessary images
      and content.

    • Integrated the content into the prototype, ensuring it aligned with the
      brand's aesthetics and messaging.

  4. High-Fidelity Prototype

    • Developed a high-fidelity prototype in Figma for final approval.

    • Ensured the prototype was detailed and interactive to accurately reflect the
      intended user experience.

  5. Final Build in AEM

    • Utilized the Figma prototype to build the final experience in Adobe Experience
      Manager (AEM).

    • Ensured seamless integration of design and functionality.

Results

  • Engagement: The mobile experience was accessible via a QR code on the Ham packaging. It successfully engaged consumers by providing easy access to warming tips and instructional videos.
